New Year, New Habits: Bite-Sized Practices to Adopt For Optimum Health

Did you know 90% of new year’s resolutions fail? If you’re ready to step into 2025 and make the ultimate change and glow up in your life, it’s all about setting small, sustainable changes that you can maintain all year long. 

And to help you kick off 2025 with a little bit of motivation, I’ve compiled a few things you can start implementing in various aspects of your life. They’re bite-sized, mostly free, fully accessible, and easy to implement. 

I hope this helps you, and I hope 2025 will be your best, most magical, healthy year yet.


MORNING ROUTINE 

  • Wake up 30-60 minutes before you need to. Find out more about morning routines here. 
  • Have a soothing alarm tone instead of blaring iPhone sound 
  • Listen to affirmations whilst you get ready 
  • Enjoy protein before coffee 
  • Kickstart your gut-health and enjoy a glass of Feel Well on an empty stomach 

 

EVENING ROUTINE 

  • Tidy up your space after dinner (I call this the night shift) 
  • Prepare your clothes, work items, activewear for tomorrow 
  • No phones 30 minutes before bed 
  • Start taking magnesium for optimal sleep (I love Sleep Well which contains 500mg of magnesium glycinate - the type you need for sleep!) 
  • Write down / think of what you are grateful for and go through each letter in the alphabet 

 

BODY 

  • Find 1-2 types of movement that you ACTUALLY love 
  • Sleep 7-9 hours per night 
  • Practice mindful breathing and eating for ultimate presence. Try to eat one meal without your phone). This will help reduce stress and bloating 
  • Support your body through health, clean nourishing foods and supplement where required 
  • Eat 2g of protein per kg of bodyweight daily. I enjoy Plant Well for optimal protein support.


MIND
  • Start a list in your phone “Good things happen to me” and document all the beautiful, wonderful things that happen throughout your day - big or small 
  • Find a meditation practice that you love 
  • Create a vision board and place it somewhere easily visible 
  • Set mini goals for the day to reduce overwhelm and find accomplishment ie. “Today I will put my phone away 30 mintues before bed.” “Today I will read 10 pages of my book” Get specific with them and watch them slowly be accomplished as the year goes on
